CITE Advisory (May 1, 2020)

To: All Staff and Students
From: Academic Council
Re: ACADEMIC CONTINUITY PLAN 2020-1
Date: 23 April 2020

Dear All:

In light of the extension of enhanced community quarantine until May 15, 2020 as proclaimed by Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella, the Academic Council upon MS approval would like to inform everyone of the following adjustments.

Classes for the second semester of school year 2019-2020 have officially ended on March 27, 2020.

There will be no final exams for senior high school and regular diploma program students for both theory-based and laboratory subjects.

Students’ final grade shall be computed as follows: Mid-term grade – 40%, Final quizzes – 50%, Attendance – 5%, Deportment – 5%.

Should the instructor fail to give a practical exam to students, he shall base his rating on the laboratory exercises and quizzes during the final term.

No graded assessment may be made during ECQ in consideration of those who don’t have access to the Internet; however the instructor should extend consideration to students who may need to complete requirements through online submission.

Students who will receive INCOMPLETE (INC) or FAILED marks will be given one week after the ECQ is lifted to comply with the needed remediation. This shall be facilitated by the instructor considering that the student was not given the benefit of full semester to improve his performance.

All instructors are required to submit their final grades through email on or before May 8, 2020.

CBLM/WORKBOOK GENERATION

All instructors are enjoined to continue the generation and enrichment of learning materials for uploading on CITE Wiki which can be made accessible even outside the school.
