CITE Programs Recognized with STAR Rating

CITE garners 2 STAR level rating in Mechatronics, EPAS, and Computer Systems Servicing and 1 STAR level rating in Machining during the onsite validation on Feb. 12, 2020 against CITE’s quality team’s self-assessment of its registered programs.

The STAR (System for TVET Accreditation and Recognition) Program is a system of recognizing TVI programs that have exceeded the minimum requirements of program registration set by TESDA. The said award is expected to scale up the quality of technical-vocational education and training (TVET) programs for the development of a more competitive Filipino workforce.

TESDA validators use four major objective and evidence-based criteria, namely: Governance and Management, Curriculum Development, Support Services, and Program Performance Measures with corresponding stars.

CITE Quality Team is headed by Engr. Perpetuo Echavez as QMR and Romero Enoc as STAR Focal person.
