CITE PASSES ISO CERTIFICATION
May 22, 2013
CITE has marked another milestone in its history as it was recommended for ISO 9001:2008 certification after passing the stringent audit by the Anglo Japanese American Registrars (AJA) auditors on May 21, 2013.
With minor non-conformances and observations, CITE’s quality management system was found to be adequate to merit the certification.
During the audit, the external auditors Dr. Remedios Cagulada and Kevin Castillon lauded the school formative activities and unique youth program. Both of them also cited some hints of improvements in the following areas: operations, sales and marketing, training, registrars, document control, and internal quality audit.
After the audit, Engr. Ruben Laraya, the executive director addressed the gathering and congratulated all for making the audit a resounding success. Engr. Laraya also noted that CITE should not only go after for certification but also for continual improvement and quality processes. Quality Management Representative Roy Zapata now heads the Quality Team.
Certification to ISO 9001:2008 notes that the school institution has established well-structured policies and procedures which are effectively implemented vis-a-vis the overall target of the school.
