Have you ever encountered a crisis where you want to help but you just couldn’t all because you lack the basic life support skills? Or have you ever asked yourself: would you ever survive inside a burning building? When all hell breaks loose, the new CITE Response Team is now ready to come to our rescue and respond to the disaster that may strike. The 23-member team received extensive training from Rescue 160 elite team headed by Ret. Sr. Inspector Bernardo Del Mar on July 22 and 23 at CITE.
The training included concepts on Basic Life Support, First Aid, and Firefighting. Participants were taught how to save lives and given rigorous survival training on different scenarios in order to intervene. In so doing, the team would be able to assess and coordinate responses to situations and campus emergencies that directly affect the well-being of students. Photo below shows Ret. Sr. Inspector del Mar giving instructions to the team.
