1. What is CITE?

CITE (Center for Industrial Technology and Enterprise) Technical Institute, Inc. is the only technical school in the Visayas offering a 3-year diploma programs. Our programs include:

2. What is an Engineering Technologist?

3. How does an Engineering Technologist differ from an Engineer?

5. How long does it take to complete the Diploma in Engineering Technology?

  • Senior High School Graduates: 3 years

6. How do I qualify?

To apply, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Male Filipino citizen, aged 25 years or younger.
  • Must be a Grade 12 graduate or have some college-level education.
  • Must have at least 80% grades in Math, Physics, and English in the last grading period.
  • Must be physically and mentally fit.
  • Must pass the following:
    • Entrance examination
    • Applicant and parent interview
    • Special Training Orientation Program (3 days)
    • Physical and medical examination

7. What are the admission requirements?

  • 4 pcs 1×1 ID photos (blue background)
  • Original & 2 photocopies of high school card/transcript of records
  • 2 photocopies of NSO/PSA birth certificate
  • Original & 2 photocopies of a Good Moral Certificate
  • Original & 2 photocopies of NCAE results (if applicable)
  • Original & 2 photocopies of parent’s latest Income Tax Return, BIR Tax Exemption Certificate, or Certificate of Indigency
  • One long brown envelope

8. How does your training differ from university courses?

Our programs emphasize skills training and values formation under the Dual Training System (DTS).

  • DTS combines school-based learning with real-world industry training.
  • You will receive foundational theories and skills at CITE.
  • Once ready, you will undergo industry-based training under the supervision of a plant coordinator, with a corresponding allowance.
  • You are required to report to school once a week to supplement your work experience with additional theories and personal development.

This unique setup ensures you gain both technical competence and the right work values to succeed.


9. How affordable is your program?

We don’t call it tuition and fees. Instead, we offer a Study-Now-Sponsor-a-Scholar-Later Program (SNSSLP).

10. Do I have other financial obligations?

While your education is covered, you are still responsible for:

  • School uniforms (including PE uniform)
  • School ID
  • School projects (as required by your course)
  • Transportation and meal expenses
  • Boarding house rental (if applicable)

11. Do you offer other scholarships?

Yes, we provide various scholarships to support your studies:

  • Non-Academic Scholarships: For students needing financial assistance with uniforms, transportation, and boarding expenses.
  • Academic Scholarships: For high-performing students.
  • External Scholarships: Sourced from local government units, civic groups, and private sponsors.

12. What other support and assistance do you provide?
