Lear Corporation, a global leader in automotive technology specializing in electrical systems, visited CITE on October 16, 2025, to explore future partnerships with the 1- year Production Technology Program. The visit highlighted a strategic collaboration model aimed at providing more opportunities for Prodtech students starting next year.

The delegation was led by Gene Serbise, Plant Manager of Lear Corporation, together with Lear executives Jess Barrican, Razel Liselda Pabonita, Fen Ann Baylon, Anna Mae Maribao, and Kay Kyle Malinao. The group toured to CITE’s facilities and engaged in discussions on strengthening academic-industry linkages.

As part of this collaboration, CITE will also conduct a follow-up visit to Lear Corporation’s plant to assess its training capabilities and calibrate training programs. On hand to welcome the team were Dariel Lauron, Director of Industry, Government & Community Relations (IGCR) and Neil Agbay, Academic Formation Director.
Lear has long been an invaluable partner of CITE, providing Prodtech students with training opportunities and employment pathways. This visit further reaffirms Lear’s commitment to support technical education and workforce development in the Philippines.
