In line with the vision of Technical Education and Development Authority (TESDA) to be in the forefront in the development of the skilled Filipino workforce, it launched its Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP).
The TWSP focuses on giving utmost priority on jobs that empower the Filipino workforce to rise to the occasion and make education the central theme in the poverty alleviation and national competitiveness building. If these two objectives were realized, higher chances of employability shall be achieved.
TWSP goes down to the grassroots by ensuring a Filipino worker is well quipped with competencies that are required in the industries. Through its linkages with tech-voc institutions like CITE, these skilled workers shall be given opportunity to harness their skills through tech-voc programs which are key employment generators (KEGs).
Some 40 trainees under TWSP were introduced during the Training Induction Program on October 14, 2014. The scholars will be entitled to free training cost and assessment.
