CITE Community Sustains Relief Efforts for Earthquake Victims in Northern Cebu

October 8, 2025
The CITE Alumni Association, together with faculty members and students, continues to extend assistance to victims of the strong tremor that struck Northern Cebu on September 30, 2025, displacing nearly 80,000 residents across several towns.
This recent initiative builds on earlier relief operations following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake that struck the province on September 30, 2025, with Bogo City identified as the epicenter. Alumni volunteers, students, faculty, and staff worked hand in hand to pool donations and purchase relief goods—including rice, bottled water, and other essential items—for hundreds of residents in the hardest-hit communities.
The ongoing efforts aim not only to provide immediate relief but also to extend emotional support to affected families and students as they begin rebuilding their lives. Mr. Romero Enoc, Alumni Officer, continues to coordinate with alumni and students to identify individuals and communities that remain in need of assistance.
CITE volunteers including staff and alumni have reached affected areas in Tabuelan, San Remigio, Medellin, Tabogon, Borbon, and Bogo City, bringing much-needed aid and hope to the affected families.
