CITE continues to expand its commitment to youth empowerment and workforce readiness by participating in the Skills to Succeed (S2S) Employability Skills Training Rollout Orientation of Digitalized Assessment Tools, spearheaded by Save the Children Philippines (SCP) – Visayas Field Office.
Representing CITE in the two-day orientation held on May 29–30, 2025 was Mr. Leonard Peligro (second from left), who completed the S2S Training of Trainers last March. The activity is part of the broader Fostering Youth Transitions for Resilience and Employment (FUTURE) project, which equips marginalized and at-risk youth aged 15–24 with essential employment skills.
The orientation, facilitated by SCP’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Unit, aimed at capacitating facilitators from different partner institutions to effectively use digitalized assessment tools in evaluating participants’ progress throughout the training rollout.
The S2S program supports senior high school students and out-of-school youth in building confidence, fostering positive attitudes, and sharpening critical workplace skills. As one of the partner institutions in Central Visayas, CITE looks forward to cascading these tools and techniques to ensure learning outcomes for the youth it serves.
