From carrying out immediate relief goods to typhoon-affected students and their families to rebuilding efforts of homes of its affected staff, CITE Technical Institute, Inc. launched the much-needed assistance to families in Cebu province whose lives and livelihood bore the brunt of fury of Typhoon Odette on December 16, 2021.
CITE Damayan is mobilized under the External and Community Relations Office with a relief operation team composed of key personnel and staff who conducted waves of coordinated distribution of food package to typhoon victims. The project also included CITE Oplan Linis which enlisted student-volunteers to help in the clearing operations in the school.
As of January 21, some 700 families were given rice, cash assistance, solar light, canned goods and milk delivered through donations gathered from private individuals, civic group, and multi-sectoral partners which include Educhild Foundation, Apex Mining Company, Work Camp Manila Group, Century Pacific Group, Mr. Chester Lim, COURAGE Cebu, Alfonso Jayme, and friends of Fr. Roy Cimagala who wished to remain to be anonymous.
