CITE Technical Institute, Inc. gathered its industry partners for a Learning Capability Session on the Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) Framework on September 16, 2025, at the TESDA VII–Cebu Provincial Office.
Facilitated by TESDA Cebu, the session highlighted Republic Act 12063, which promotes stronger industry-education linkages through EBET programs. The law grants enterprises tax deductions of at least 50% of training costs, while trainees receive allowances and apprentices earn at least 75% of the minimum wage. More importantly, businesses gain a workforce trained to meet their specific needs.
Assistant Regional Director/Provincial Director Floro Ringca, Ph.D.T.M., and EBET Focal Clarissa Geraldo underscored EBET’s role in advancing workforce readiness. Industry representatives also shared insights on skills requirements to help CITE align its programs with evolving demands.
Among those present were representatives from Wellmade Motors, Autoliv Cebu, RMT Electrical Works, DIS, Krypton, Cebu Belmont, and Austal Philippines. CITE was represented by Executive Director Dr. Jose Ramiro Carpio, the management committee, technology heads, and the Industry-Government-Community Relations team led by Director Dariel Lauron.
