CITE hosted a send-off ceremony for Batch 4 of the AKTIO trainees on July 15, 2025, at the ADP Hall. The event marked the completion of four months of intensive Nihongo training and the beginning of a new chapter for 11 young men who are set to join the workforce of AKTIO Corporation in Japan.
In his remarks, CITE President and Executive Director Dr. José Ramiro A. Carpio, Jr. shared, “It is with mixed emotions—joy, pride, and a touch of nostalgia—that I welcome you all to this special send-off for Batch 4 of our AKTIO trainees.” He praised the trainees from hopeful applicants into globally prepared professionals.
Since 2018, CITE has deployed 30 alumni to AKTIO, a leading construction equipment rental company established in 1967.
Dr. Carpio also extended gratitude to AKTIO’s distinguished representatives present: Vice President Mr. Mitsuo Konuma, Head of AKTIO Philippines Mr. Yasuo Matsuyama, CHRO Mr. Fukutaro Okuda, HR Officer Mr. Takahito Doyama, and Ms. Maimi Hanawa, for their continued trust and support. Special recognition was given to CITE Vice Chairman Mr. Mario King for his leadership in building and strengthening the collaboration.
To inspire the audience, Dr. Carpio shared stories of perseverance and hope among the Batch 4 trainees:
Alfrezt Quinto, an Electrical Engineering Technology graduate from Sibonga, whose home was destroyed by Typhoon Odette, clung to a quiet dream of lifting his family from poverty.
Jefferson Bacarro, a Mechanical Engineering Technology graduate from Naga, who once worked at Minebea Mitsumi, now pursues a dream to help his siblings finish school and care for his ailing father.
Aljon Bucag, a Batch 27 graduate in Electrical Technology from Balamban, juggled short-term jobs while striving for employment stability for his family amid financial struggles and illness.
The send-off celebration featured encouraging words from AKTIO representatives and message from the trainees
