CITE Students Advance Through Low-Code Training with Alliance Software, Inc.

October 16, 2025

CITE has opened the second batch of its Low-Code Programming Course in partnership with Alliance Software, Inc., a global leader in IT services and software development. Students are eager to acquire hands-on skills that are increasingly sought after in today’s fast-paced tech industry.

Running from August 9 to December 6, 2025, the program trains 35 second-year scholars from the Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology program.

The course began with an orientation by Giselle Mabunga, Learning and Development and HR Supervisor at Alliance Software. Succeeding sessions introduced practical applications, including project planning and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) with Marie Abigail Ralota and Gil Laurence Aranco on Mendix and Power BI (Business Intelligence), and Allen Lawrence Bolaños on Microsoft Power Platform and Power Apps.

This initiative reflects Alliance Software’s continued commitment to developing future IT professionals. With offices in Tokyo, Cebu, and Manila, the company is one of the country’s most respected independent software outsourcing firms and a valued partner of CITE. Notably, Alliance trained another 35 CITE scholars in the same program last year.

Students affirm how impactful the training has been:

Melro Jayme: “This session helped me gain new skills and knowledge about Mendix. On September 13, 2025, we explored how to use it step by step, and the fun activities before project management made learning more engaging.”

Angelo Kendrick Ritaga: “It was a great session where we recapped and learned more about Power Apps. Mr. Allen Lawrence Bolaños showed us how environments and flows work, how to fix mistakes, and how automated steps create an efficient workflow.”

Through this collaboration, CITE scholars are not only sharpening their technical expertise but also gaining real-world exposure that prepares them to thrive in the ever-evolving IT landscape.
