Finding “The Chief in Me”: Class Officers Step Up as Student Leaders

October 16, 2025

Sixteen first-year class officers came together on October 11, 2025, for a day of learning, laughter, and leadership at the Leadership Training Seminar and Teambuilding Activities.

The sessions—aptly called “The Chief in Me”—reminded our young leaders that leadership isn’t about titles, but about service, choices, and example. A talk on professionalism underscored that true leaders are remembered not only for what they say, but also for how they act—always rooted in CITE’s spirit of work, prayer, and service.

Guest lecturer Dr. Jun Langahin, former Human Formation Director, guided the students through a self-reflection exercise on personalities and leadership styles, helping them understand their strengths and how to work better with others. Meanwhile, Student Affairs Supervisor Viador John II Viajar gave a clear orientation on the roles and responsibilities of class officers, setting the direction for their service this school year.

Of course, leadership also means teamwork! Students Formation Supervisor Melijandyl Delatina led fun-filled teambuilding activities that had everyone laughing, collaborating, and building trust. By the end of the day, the group walked away not just as officers, but as leaders with confidence, camaraderie, and purpose.
