As Industry Linkage Coordinators, one of the most fulfilling parts of our work is visiting companies where our students are deployed for training. Each visit offers not only an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with our industry collaborators but also a chance to witness the tangible results of our mission — seeing young professionals who once walked the halls of CITE now doing well in their chosen careers.
During these visits, we are often delighted to encounter familiar faces — our very own CITE alumni — now valuable members of the workforce and active contributors to their company’s success.
One such rewarding visit was to AM Swiss Microtec Inc. on October 21, 2025. The company is part of the Audemars Group, a multinational company specializing in microtechnology. Founded more than 120 years ago in the Swiss watchmaking industry, Audemars has grown into a global leader in the design and manufacture of ultra-small, precision electro-magnetic micro-components and assemblies used in advanced high-tech devices.
Its country branch in Lapu-Lapu City plays a vital role in precision manufacturing, providing local professionals and technical graduates with the opportunity to engage in world-class microtechnology production and innovation.
Leading the facility is the Operations Manager Sherwin Navasca (Batch 4 – Mechanical Technology, standing 7th from the left), who oversees 15 CITE alumni and other employees working as part of his maintenance and support teams. Sherwin is an advisory of Dr. Perpetuo Echavez. Among them are:
Quality Assurance and Technical Staff – QA Engineer Ariel Quinto (Batch 14), Senior Maintenance Technician Archie Lucero (Batch 25), and Supervisor Gilbert Lauron (Batch 15).
Facility Maintenance Team – Darcy Lance Geoman (Batch 33), Kenth David Espejo (Batch 33), and Kenn Arjay Lerio (Batch 31).
Maintenance Technicians – Harvey Daño (Batch 21), Roben Lariosa (Batch 31), Joshua Romera (Batch 25), Marlo Lacio (Batch 25), Bryan Deloria (Batch 31), Christony John Muelo (Batch 29), Raily Mabini (Batch 33), and OJT student Joy Ledesma (Batch 33).
Administrative and IT Support-Jorge Anthony Castillo (Batch 31).
It is heartwarming to be welcomed not just as visitors or partners, but as teachers or mentors who saw firsthand how the lessons imparted in the classroom have found real meaning in the workplace. Each handshake, smile, and story shared during these visits strengthens our purpose of not merely producing workers, but forming individuals who bring technical competence and character wherever they go.
Kudos to our alumni for carrying with them the CITE brand of excellence and embody our core values of Work, Prayer, and Service.
