CITE Technical Institute hosted a series of meaningful visits and partnerships, beefing up its industry linkages and cementing its commitment to student development.
On February 4, CITE welcomed Atty. Jose Maria “Joey” Ochave, Executive Director of Unilab Foundation, Inc., who visited the campus to explore potential collaborations, particularly in short-term training programs and capability-building initiatives. The visit aligned with the mission of Unilab Education, Inc. (UniEd) to better align education with the rapidly evolving needs of the workforce, especially in the technology and healthcare sectors.
UniEd, the education pillar of the Filipino-owned Unilab Group, focuses on enabling social mobility through quality, affordable, and accessible education. Its partnerships with universities and colleges emphasize employability and long-term career growth, making the discussions with CITE both timely and strategic.
Meanwhile, on February 11, Jesse Taborada, President of the Cebu Executive Runners Club (CERC), together with officer Roy Trani, formally turned over a grant to CITE as a gesture of appreciation for the school’s support during the Cebu City Marathon held on January 11. CITE partnered with CERC by deploying around 300 students and 35 staff who assisted at hydration and water stations during race day. The grant will directly support CITE scholars.
Earlier, on January 26, CITE hosted multiple industry visitors. John Henry Zanoria, Founder of Lioncrest Digital Marketing Services Corp, visited the campus to explore potential collaborations with CITE, particularly in the area of Computer Engineering Technology. Lioncrest is a Philippines-based company that supports U.S.-market service providers through phone sales, lead qualification, and customer follow-ups using performance-driven systems.
On the same day, Aviel Silook, Founder of the Berlin Music Video Festival, visited CITE to discuss possible collaborations in Computer Engineering Technology, particularly in animation and AI-powered technologies. The Berlin Music Video Festival is an international platform that celebrates quality and originality in music video filmmaking.
On a separate date, Silook returned to conduct an orientation session for Computer Engineering Technology students, highlighting global opportunities at the intersection of technology, creativity, and digital innovation.
