As part of its continuing community extension initiatives, the CITE Community Relations Office through Mr. Romero Enoc, conducted a 5S Seminar for the residents of St. Michael, equipping participants with practical knowledge on cleanliness and efficiency.
A total of 52 residents attended the seminar, which introduced the 5S methodology, a Japanese workplace organization system, namely Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in Order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain). Originally developed to improve productivity and safety in the workplace, the 5S principles can also be applied in homes and communities to foster discipline, cleanliness, and Kaizen or continuous improvement.
The seminar was facilitated by Mr. Julieto Ardiente of PAREF Springdale School, Inc. who served as the resource speaker and shared practical ways to implement the 5S principles in everyday life.
The program formally opened with welcome remarks from Industry Government and Community Relations Director Mr. Dariel Lauron, who encouraged participants to embrace the values of organization and responsibility in building a better community. The event was hosted by Mr. Melijandyl Delatina.
