CITE Bags Gold in Skills Competition

CITE emerged triumphant during the TESDA Provincial Skills Competition held October 11-13, 2021 with eight competitors awarded as gold, silver, and bronze medal winners in five different trade areas.
Second year student Ricardo Jose Saquilabon bagged the gold medal for Electronics and second year student Jhon Criste Saguisa showcased his designing skills to earn the gold medal for Web Technologies.
Silver medals went to second year students Narscent Danny Aragon and Earldrian Alfanta for Mechatronics and third year student Aldrein Bontuyan for Electrical Installation, and second year students Jereco Gonzaga, Micheal Villanueva, and Michael Bihag earned the bronze medal for Electronics, Information Network Cabling, and Electrical Installations, respectively.
The skills competition held in three different venues is aligned with the World Skills Competition standards. TESDA VII Assistant Regional Director and Provincial Director Floro Ringca opened the ceremony and provided his all-out support to the contestants during the course of the skills competition.
The gold medal winners of this competition will undergo training to represent in the regional level of the skills competition and hopefully represent the region in the inter-region, national and Asean skills levels of competition.
Skills competitions are provided in the RA 7796, mandating TESDA to organize national skills Olympics to promote quality skills development in the region and with the view of participating in international skills competitions. In photo are the competitors with their coaches.
