CITE held its Annual Curriculum Consultation on October 23, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of Maayo Hotel. The event gathered 60 participants from 34 industry partner companies, representatives of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), CITE trustees, management committee members, and representatives from the Academic Formation and Industry, Government, and Community Relations departments.

With the theme “Strengthening Industry-Academe Collaboration,” the consultation provided an opportunity for industry partners to share feedback and recommendations to ensure that CITE’s programs remain relevant to current workplace needs and changing industry demands.

In his welcome address, CITE President and Executive Director Dr. José Ramiro Carpio, Jr. emphasized the importance of working closely with industry partners to equip students with the technical skills and work values needed to become job-ready and future-ready graduates.

In a message read by Industry, Government, and Community Relations Director Dariel Lauron, CITE Chairman Jose Soberano III highlighted the need to prepare students for future workplace demands through stronger industry partnerships, awareness of emerging technologies, and the development of technical skills and good work values.

TESDA-7 Regional Operations Division Chief Jocelyn Cabahug also delivered a message on behalf of Regional Director Gamaliel Vicente, Jr., emphasizing the importance of collaboration in strengthening technical-vocational education and improving employment opportunities.

The morning sessions focused on Enterprise-Based Education and Training (EBET) and Supervised Industry Learning (SIL), presented by TESDA specialists Clarissa Geraldo and Cheyenne Soon, respectively. The discussions highlighted how schools and companies can work together to provide relevant training and practical workplace experience.

A discussion and writeshop followed, allowing participants to assess the strengths and weaknesses of CITE’s existing curricula and training methods and recommend improvements to better align them with industry requirements.

In the afternoon, industry representatives presented their findings and recommendations for improving CITE’s three-year Diploma programs in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, and Microelectronics Engineering Technology, as well as its one-year Production Technology program. Their presentations highlighted proposed improvements based on industry needs and workplace requirements.

Participants also joined breakout sessions facilitated by CITE’s five Technology Heads to discuss the recommendations and identify areas for further improvement. The consolidated recommendations will guide future curriculum enhancement.
