At 21, Analiza Juntilla is taking a new step toward building a career in the automotive manufacturing industry after working as a cashier at a gasoline station in Lapulapu City. After finishing high school, Analiza found herself looking for opportunities to continue developing her skills and pursue a more stable career. With the cost of tuition at other schools proving to be a challenge, she decided to enroll in CITE under its one-year Production Technology Program.
Now, Analiza has completed the program’s two-month in-school training together with 55 other trainees. She is preparing to begin the next phase of her training at LEAR Automotive Services (Netherlands) B.V. – Philippine Branch, where she will undergo 10 months of hands-on industry training in wire harness technology.Her journey is part of a larger partnership between CITE and LEAR aimed at preparing for careers in the automotive manufacturing sector, particularly in wire harness technology.
The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement signed on September 17, 2026 in a simple ceremony, establishing a Production Technology Program under the Dual Training System (DTS). The program combines theoretical instruction at CITE with practical, hands-on training at LEAR’s facility in Lapu-Lapu City.
Under the agreement, LEAR will support the training program by providing facilities, tools, materials, personal protective equipment, trainers, and other resources. The company will also provide scholarship package per student-trainee, while CITE oversees the academic component and student monitoring.
The partnership is expected to accommodate up to 200 trainees, providing them with opportunities to gain industry-relevant competencies and firsthand experience in automotive manufacturing.
The CITE–LEAR partnership reflects the value of combining technical education with industry experience, giving trainees like Juntilla a pathway to develop practical skills and explore career opportunities in the automotive and wire harness manufacturing industry.

On behalf of LEAR Automotive Services (Netherlands) B.V. – Philippine Branch, the agreement was signed by Gene R. Serbise, Plant Manager – Plant 2; and Maria Lorena Baluran, Operations Director.
For Analiza, the transition from working as a cashier to becoming a Production Technology trainee marks a new chapter in her career journey. Her upcoming training at LEAR will give her the opportunity to apply what she learned in the classroom to an actual manufacturing environment
