September 6, 2026
Some 355 in-plant trainees at CITE Technical Institute, Inc. completed a refresher course held from August 24 to 28, 2026, aimed at strengthening their professionalism, discipline, and communication skills in the workplace.
The five-day course provided trainees with an opportunity to revisit school policies, refresh their understanding of industry practices, and prepare for the demands of the workplace. More importantly, it encouraged participants to renew their sense of purpose and commitment as they continue their in-plant training.
Organized by the Industry, Government and Community Relations (IGCR) Department, headed by Dariel Lauron, the refresher course featured an overview of the Dual Training System (DTS), updates on its new systems, and sessions on professionalism, workplace discipline, and effective communication.
Industry practitioners shared their experiences and insights with the trainees, emphasizing the attitudes and competencies expected in the workplace. The roster of guest speakers included Engr. Marcelo L. Canitan Jr., General Manager, MARR Engineering Services, Mary Grace Moya, HR Assistant, Cebu Graphicstar Imaging Corp., Engr. Bobby Limotan, General Manager, Artechno Marketing and Services, and Mary Jillian Jusay, Talent Acquisition Specialist, DIS Tech Philippines.
Through the refresher course, CITE trainees were reminded that technical competence must go hand in hand with professionalism, discipline, and workplace communication that are deemed essential to become responsible and productive industry professionals.
