Community Outreach Conducted for Adopted School

March 3, 2026
Nineteen student-members of the Young Mentors Organization of CITE conducted a community outreach activity at San Jose Day Care Center on March 3, 2026.
The activity focused on repainting the classrooms, cabinets, and furniture to improve the learning environment ahead of the opening of classes. The initiative is part of CITE’s continuing partnership with the day care center, which has been an adopted school of the CITE since June 24, 2024.
The San Jose Day Care Center located in Purok 3, San Jose is headed by Mrs. Editha Erana, Day Care Teacher I. She welcomed the initiative, noting that the refreshed classrooms will provide a more conducive and child-friendly space for the learners.
The 19 CITE students spent the day repainting classroom walls, refurbishing cabinets, and restoring tables and chairs used by the children. The effort aims to ensure that the facilities are clean, organized, and ready for daily use.
Beyond the repainting activity, the Young Mentors Organization will also conduct reading sessions for the daycare pupils as part of their outreach program. The group is set to assist the children in developing basic reading skills through guided learning sessions in the coming weeks.
