On its 13th year, Century Pacific Group, the country’s leading food and beverage company behind household brands such as Century Tuna and Argentina Corned Beef, relaunches the Kain Po feeding program for targeted underprivileged young people and school-age kids.
CITE being a partner school has helped the program reach its target beneficiaries of 45 million servings nationwide. CITE serves free school meals to students during lunch breaks and on some occasions to reduce absenteeism and improve the quality of life. It also partners with public schools to extend its reach and hit the target number of meals.
Originally an initiative for disaster response, “Kain Po”, was a brainchild project of CPG’s late founder Mr. Ricardo S Po, Sr. now aimed at helping undernourished children across the country have access to better food choices through the school feeding program.
The video shows students transporting cartons of canned goods to the stock room. The distribution is being handled by Community Relations Manager Jon Mercado.
