Makoto Metal Explores Collaboration with CITE

Key personnel from Makoto Metal Technology Inc. visited CITE Technical Institute, Inc. on January 14, 2025 to explore potential collaborations, visit laboratory facilities, and align training programs with industry needs.

The delegation included Joseph Batiancila (Equipment Maintenance – Group Leader, CITE Alumnus), Ian Duran (Equipment Engineering – Group Leader), Doris Esmalin (Machine Shop – Group Leader), Charity Diolan (Product Engineering – Group Leader), and Justine Telebrico (General Services – Electrical Engineer).

The delegation was warmly welcomed by IGCR Coordinating Officer Kenneth Pachejo and CITE staff members Hilario Gonzaga, Jr. and Jesus William Lumapac.

The visit started with a brief presentation on CITE’s mission, vision, and the Dual Training System (DTS). The Makoto team then toured the laboratories, assessing equipment and discussing how the company could support training enhancements. Conversations focused on aligning student competencies with Makoto’s workforce needs and potential contributions to upgrading CITE’s facilities.

Makoto and CITE have been long standing partners  in providing opportunities for the young people in the Visayas and Mindanao through the Dual Training System program.
