Executives from AKTIO visited CITE on September 23, 2024 to review the ongoing training program of 23 trainees and explore potential collaborations aimed at enhancing technical education.
Mr. Yasuo Matsuyama, AKTIO Director (center) and Taketoshi Fukusawa of Fukusawa Co., Ltd. presented a positive status report on the five-year training program involving 23 trainees from Batches 1-3. The report highlighted trainees’ performance surpassing expectations of the employer due to high level of skills and motivation. The trainees’ strengths in basic electricity and industrial engineering have significantly contributed to their success.
Among the noteworthy achievements, one trainee attained N4 proficiency in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, while another triumphed in an essay competition against 1,277 participants, receiving recognition in Tokyo.
AKTIO reported that it is working with towards meeting government regulations to assist Batch 1 trainees in applying for the Tokutei Ginou visa, which provides a pathway to permanent residency in Japan.
The meeting also explored potential collaborations related to disaster preparedness initiatives inspired by Japanese practices.
AKTIO is a construction equipment rental company that offers cars, cranes, and other heavy equipment in Japan and Southeast Asia countries. It has hosted training and employment for qualified CITE graduates of the diploma program since 2018.
