On September 14, 2024, CITE conducted its annual Fire Safety Seminar and Drill, organized by the Safety Committee and attended by employees and students. The seminar included training on basic first aid for fire-related injuries.
The event was supervised by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 7, which assessed the overall process and offered recommendations for improvement. FO1 Claire Avergonzado, Fo1 Danielle Lisa Borinaga, FO1 Krishna Alegarbes, and FO1 Jezel Faith Famador.
This annual initiative aims to educate participants on emergency procedures, especially during a fire. Attendees learned how to operate fire extinguishers and were reminded of the importance of contacting fire authorities when necessary.
Overall, the activity enhanced awareness of fire prevention, safety, and evacuation procedures, equipping employees and students with essential knowledge applicable in both workplace and home environments.
