Some 34 students and alumni from the Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology program have successfully completed the Low-Code programming course conducted by Alliance Software Inc., a global leader in IT services and software development. The graduation ceremony was held on December 20, 2024 at the Alliance Software headquarters.
The program, which ran from August 31 to December 20, 2024 provided participants with essential software development skills tailored to the rapidly growing Low-Code platform industry. The training was led by a team of expert facilitators, including John Laurence Gamas, Keziah Reve Rodriguez, Allen Lawrence Bolaños, and Jhessa Mae Uy, who ensured participants gained practical, hands-on knowledge.
The ceremony was attended by Alliance Software’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Sherwin Yu, and Assistant Vice President for Human Resources, Ms. Geraline Sagun, who praised the participants for their dedication and determination. CITE Executive Director Dr. Jose Ramiro Carpio, Jr. also addressed the attendees, emphasizing the decade-long partnership between CITE and Alliance Software in cultivating IT talent.
Highlights of the event included an inspiring message from CITE alumnus and software developer Gil Laurence Aranco, as well as reflections from student participants about their journey through the program.
Certificates of Completion were awarded to all participants. Second year student Je Alegado was given a Certificate of Merit for Top 1 Exam Passer of the Mendix Rapid Developer Certification Certificates of Merit were also given to three groups for their exceptional performance in the Low-Code program, with each member receiving a gift card.
