CITE held its annual Family Day for staff and their loved ones on December 16, 2024. With the theme “A Happy and Peaceful Christmas for Every Filipino Family,” the event encouraged attendees to embrace the holiday spirit by dressing up as their favorite characters from movies or books.
The celebration commenced at 8:00 AM with a Holy Mass officiated by Fr. Carlo Cuaresma, CITE’s chaplain. Afterward, Executive Director Dr. José Ramiro Carpio Jr. delivered a heartfelt opening address, reflecting on the challenges the community overcame throughout the year. He described the journey as starting with a “lump in the throat” but expressed gratitude for the strength and unity of the CITE family.
CITE Chairman Mr. Jose Soberano III followed with a special Christmas message, highlighting the year’s significant achievements. He recognized milestones such as staff accomplishments in education and sports, as well as joyful family occasions, including the arrival of new family members.
Certificates of Service Awards were also conferred on the following staff to give due recognition to their dedicated years of service to CITE: Leonardo Arriesgado (30 years), Jundryl Oplado (20 years), Edgardo Diva (15 years), Jhufil Cañedo (15 years), Charles Villarosa (10 years), and Jonathan Marturillas (10 years).
The celebration featured live performances by special guests, including alumnus Jovanne Eleccion of J Duo, adding to the festive atmosphere, birthday celebrations for December celebrants, and parlor games hosted by Kenneth Pachejo. Excellent audio quality throughout the event was sponsored by alumnus Mardy Calaurian’s professional sound system setup, MAC Studio, with contact number 09665322482, and photobooth services by another sponsor, Jane Torres of JB Photography, with contact number 09289195131.
