A fusion of color, creativity, and sense of community spirit marked the official opening of Ambit Lambigit,an art exhibit hosted by CITE with ArtPortal Cebu owned by Cubist artist Celso Pepito on May 6, 2025.
Held at the Student Alumni Center, the exhibit gathered art enthusiasts and collectors, artists, students, and members of the academic community. The term Ambit Lambigit, drawn from Cebuano words “to share” and “to connect”, encapsulated the exhibit’s essence — a convergence of art and advocacy to help the underprivileged students through the proceeds of the sale of paintings.
The event opened with a welcome remarks from CITE Executive Director Dr. Jose Ramiro Carpio Jr. who emphasized that the exhibit will be opened until August and will have rotational artworks to draw enthusiasts.
Also gracing the event were Dr. Vicente Verallo, Architect Tatz Lee, Mr. and Mrs. Raymund Fuentes, Mrs. Sonia Carpio, and Mr. Rafael Wong, among others.
The story behind Ambit Lambigit was shared by no less than exhibit artist Mr. Celso Pepito, whose vision and leadership brought together thirteen Filipino artists to lend their artworks for a cause.
Guests were invited to view the gallery, with an open invitation to support the scholarship program through artwork purchases — a unique initiative where every sale directly contributes to the education of CITE scholars.
