CITE Joins Employability Skills Training to Empower Youth

March 22, 2025
CITE Technical Institute, Inc. has partnered with Save the Children Philippines (SCP) and Accenture for the Fostering Youth Transitions for Resilience and Employment (FUTURE) Program: S2S Employability Skills Training-of-Trainers Workshop. The event will take place at Cebu Grand Hotel from March 19-22, 2025, focusing on equipping young individuals with essential career skills.
A key feature of the four-day training is the Green Mindset Curriculum, which aims to address youth unemployment and poverty by promoting sustainable career opportunities and smoother transitions into the workforce. SCP’s 2023 Child Rights Situation Analysis (CRSA) identified significant employment barriers, particularly in marginalized communities such as Barangay Napindan, Taguig, and Barangay Luz, Cebu. In response, the FUTURE program provides employability training and career pathways for out-of-school youth and persons with disabilities, helping them overcome systemic challenges.
The workshop covers vital topics, including Employability Skills Development, Child and Youth Safeguarding, Gender Equality & Inclusive Learning, Interactive Learning-by-Doing Sessions, and Action Planning & Implementation.
CITE was represented by Student Affairs Supervisor Viador John II Viajar and in-house National Certification Assessment Center staffer Leonard Peligro, who actively participated in the training sessions.
