CITE Technical Institute will soon be able to transition to clean and renewable energy after Cebu Landmasters Inc. (CLI) Foundation and Sasonbi Inc. (Sasonbisolar), a pioneer solar energy solutions provider in the country, officially inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the CITE Solar Panel Project on March 11, 2025, at the CLI office at Park Centrale, IT Park.
The partnership aims to enhance CITE’s commitment to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility by integrating solar panel technology into its campus infrastructure. With the expertise of SasonBisolar in renewable energy solutions and the support of CLI, this collaboration seeks to provide a sustainable energy source that benefits the institution.
With renewable energy solutions, CITE can reallocate savings from reduced energy costs into significant educational initiatives, enhancing the learning environment and resources.
CLI President and CITE Chairman of the Board, Jose Soberano III, Chairman and CEO of Sasonbisolar, Dante Briones, CITE Executive Director Dr. Jose Ramiro Carpio Jr., affirmed their commitment to the project during the ceremonial signing of MOA. Also present was CITE Finance Director Tomas Yap.
The CITE Solar Power Project is set to commence in the coming months, with installation and integration phases carefully planned to optimize energy efficiency on campus. This initiative underscores significant cost savings, a reduced carbon footprint for CITE and a possibility of solar power courses for CITE students.
