Cebuano economist and governance thought leader, Dr. Jesus P. Estanislao visited CITE today, June 29, 2018 in time for his book launch for “Governance in the Philippines: Spanish Colonial Rule 1565-1898,” at the University of San Carlos.
Dr. Estanislao brought home academic works from his scholarly travels in Barcelona, Spain. The book, which was written at IESE Business School, is a maiden issue for a series that traces back rich historical context during Spanish colonial rule that aims to encourage today’s generation to apply the learnings for a better governance. Dr. Estanislao is also instrumental in the establishment of CITE during its humble beginnings and its claim to fame as a top-tier tech-voc school in the country. He was responsible for bringing the late president Corazon Aquino to Cebu to inaugurate the school in February 1992.
Dr. Estanislao received a portrait done by renowned artist Celso Pepito as a token from CITE during his visit.
