INA Micro Opto Corporation (IMO) donated a comprehensive selection of technical tools to CITE Technical Institute on November 8, 2024, aiming to enhance the hands-on training of students enrolled in the Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology program.

The turnover ceremony was attended by INA Micro representatives, including Mr. Edgar Sevilla Jr. (GM-GA/Production/Accounting), Mr. Takeshi Yoshizawa (GM – Production Control), Mr. Rodel Enad (Manager – TS/FM Section), Ms. Christalyn Magbanua (Supervisor-TS/FM Section & PCO Staff), and Ms. Ma. The donation, comprising over 500 precision tools—such as slitting saws, T-slot cutters, thread gauges, and advanced micrometers and digital height gauges—will significantly enhance students’ practical learning experiences by giving them access to equipment used in the industry. These tools allow students to build technical skills and gain confidence as they work with advanced, professional-grade instruments, helping prepare them for the demands of a competitive workforce.

Mr. Edgar Sevilla Jr. reaffirmed INA Micro’s commitment to supporting CITE’s mission, noting their appreciation for partnering with an institution dedicated to equipping young people with valuable technical skills and opportunities for a brighter future.

CITE Executive Director Dr. José Ramiro Carpio, conveyed deep gratitude, on behalf of the Management Committee, to INA Micro Opto, emphasizing the impact this donation will have on the students’ academic preparation.

A long-standing industry partner of CITE for nearly 25 years, INA Micro Opto Corporation, a 100% Japanese-owned company, specializes in manufacturing high-powered microscopes, endoscopes, and related components. Last year, INA Micro also donated precision tools, continuing its tradition of supporting technical education at CITE.
