Technicians Undergo Industrial Building Wiring Upgrade at CITE

A group of 12 technicians from the Tin Can Division of Treasure Island Industrial Corporation (TIIC) completed their Industrial Building Wiring Skills Upgrade at CITE Technical Institute on September 15, 22, and 29, 2024. The 24-hour training program aimed to enhance their expertise in electrical systems, preparing them for more advanced roles in the industry.

The training covered practical concepts in electricity, wiring materials, and safe building practices in accordance with the Philippine Electrical Code. Participants learned to design, install, and maintain electrical circuits, configure Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, and master the use of electrical tools, troubleshooting, and safety protocols.

The participants included: Rodelou Alegado, Earlthon Barret, Amrando Bellonosa, Handel Deocares, Royce Dolera, Rodel Esnardo, Normand Joaquin, Chifford Mondido, Alberto Pacinio, Reynante Oflas, Floro Solosod, and Cyril Surban.

CITE faculty experts Engr. Reymond Paredes and Jaine Alterado facilitated the training, which included assessments to gauge the participants’ proficiency and progress throughout the program.

This initiative is part of TIIC’s ongoing commitment to invest in employee development. Upon completion of the program, the technicians are expected to apply their upgraded skills in their respective roles, contributing to more efficient management of electrical systems and improved operational safety.

Founded in the 1950s, Treasure Island Industrial Corporation is a Cebu-based conglomerate known for manufacturing and repackaging lacquers, thinners, epoxy primers, and other construction chemicals.
