Soccer, volleyball, swimming, and sepak takraw were the big winners during the CITE Sportsfest 2024 as Electrical Engineering Technology won the overall championship with 439 points or 43% win share, followed by Mechanical Engineering Technology with 409 points or 39%. Computer Engineering Technology took the third spot with 238 points or 23%, and Electronics Engineering Technology snagged 108 points or 11% win share.
MECH hardcourt heroes led the way with a gold medal in the neck-and-neck basketball championship match with ELEC. However, ELEC unleashed its fierceness during volleyball and soccer games, delivering a treasure trove of gold medals.
MECH achieved back-to-back wins in 3-on-3 basketball, badminton, the 400m relay, and one-touch volleyball. COMP won gold as the 1H pep squad dominated the cheerdance competition, sprint, and table tennis.
This year’s theme, “mens sana in corpore sano,” embodied the athleticism and team spirit among CITE students, nurturing their potential. CITE extends its heartfelt gratitude to sponsors Juanito I.
